About the Role
Olam Agri is a market-leading, differentiated food, feed, and fiber agri-business with a global footprint, offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Miller to join our Wheat Milling & Pasta department in Lagos, Nigeria. In this vital role, you will oversee daily milling operations to guarantee maximum plant efficiency, superior product quality, and cost-effective production standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage efficient daily milling operations to maximize plant performance and achieve production output targets.
- Maintain consistent product quality and extraction levels according to defined parameters.
- Troubleshoot milling issues rapidly and optimize equipment performance to minimize downtime.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, hygiene, GMP, QMS, FSMS, and 5S standards across the facility.
- Control operational costs, minimize process waste, and support departmental budgeting initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and train multicultural milling teams to foster a culture of operational excellence.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Food Science.
- NABIMS certification or a Diploma in Milling from a recognized milling school is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in wheat milling and flour production operations.
- Demonstrated success in managing independent operations, coordinating maintenance, and leading teams.
