About the Role
CHF Heron Nigeria Limited, a trusted leader in quality consumer goods distributed across all 36 states of Nigeria since 1989, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Senior Merchandizer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our market leadership by ensuring optimal product visibility, exceptional shelf management, and strong brand representation across retail outlets in the Western region. You will combine your field sales expertise with strong leadership capabilities to manage key accounts, supervise junior merchandizers, and execute winning promotional campaigns that drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure products are strategically displayed, optimally stocked, and accurately priced across all assigned retail stores.
- Monitor inventory levels continuously, identify stock gaps promptly, and coordinate replenishment to prevent stockouts.
- Build, maintain, and nurture strong professional relationships with store managers and key retail stakeholders.
- Supervise, mentor, and coordinate a dedicated team of field merchandizers to achieve daily operational excellence.
- Manage key retail accounts, address store-level challenges, and resolve operational issues swiftly.
- Drive aggressive sales targets and oversee the seamless execution of in-store promotions and marketing campaigns.
- Gather, analyze, and report critical market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to management.
- Submit comprehensive daily and weekly merchandising reports utilizing company digital tools.
- Minimum of OND, HND, or BSc in a relevant discipline.
- 3 to 5 proven years of hands-on merchandising or field sales experience within the FMCG or retail sector.
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership and supervising field staff.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Must currently reside within the Western region of Nigeria.
- Smart, highly presentable, professional demeanor, and self-driven work ethic.
- Must own and be proficient in operating an Android smartphone for daily digital reporting.
