About the Role
Dragnet Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Medical Officer to join our client's healthcare team in Warri, Delta State. In this role, you will provide comprehensive clinical care in family medicine, managing out-patient and in-patient cases independently while supporting consultant-led operations and mentoring junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Provide independent assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients within family medicine, referring complex cases appropriately.
- Support consultant-led clinics, ward rounds, and medical procedures to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior medical officers and trainees, fostering their professional development.
- Participate actively in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and patient-safety programs.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in compliance with internal policies and current Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) regulations.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate seamless patient care and support HMO processes.
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB) from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of housemanship/internship and mandatory NYSC, or valid exemption.
- Valid, current MDCN registration and practicing license.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-NYSC clinical experience, with demonstrable progression in family medicine or medical officer grades.
- Progress toward a postgraduate fellowship (e.g., primary or part exams of the NPMCN or WAPCF) is an added advantage.
