About the Role
RightSight Specialist Eye Centre (RSSEC) is a premier eye care institution established in May 2017 to meet the growing demand for integrated, accessible, and high-quality ophthalmological services. Equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, our hospital is deeply committed to cutting-edge research and evidence-based medicine. We are currently seeking a skilled, compassionate, and professional Optometrist to join our dynamic clinical team in providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Examine patients' eyes to diagnose and treat common vision defects, ocular diseases, and abnormalities.
- Prescribe, fit, and dispense appropriate vision correction aids, including eyeglasses, contact lenses, and low-vision devices.
- Conduct comprehensive visual field tests, intraocular pressure checks, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Recognize serious optical pathologies and systemic diseases with ocular manifestations, ensuring timely referral to ophthalmologists.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records for all patients using internal software and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain treatment plans, offer preventative eye care education, and ensure high satisfaction.
- Must possess a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Must be duly registered with the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Board of Nigeria (ODON) with a valid and current practicing license.
- Must have successfully completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
- A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a recognized eye care practice or hospital.
- Proficiency as an intermediate user of the Microsoft Office suite for documentation and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to be a fast learner with exceptional attention to detail and high professional standards.
- Proximity to or residence within Isolo, Lagos, and surrounding areas will be considered a distinct advantage.
