About the Role
Dragnet Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Medical Officer - PH to join our esteemed healthcare network in Port Harcourt. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional clinical care within dentistry, independently managing patient cases while supporting consultant-led initiatives and mentoring junior medical officers to uphold the highest standards of healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Provide independent assessment, diagnosis, and comprehensive clinical management for dental patients across out-patient and in-patient settings.
- Support consultant-led clinics, ward rounds, and complex surgical or diagnostic procedures.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior medical officers and trainees, fostering their professional development.
- Participate actively in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and ensure compliance with internal policies and MDCN regulations.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and support HMO processes.
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS or BChD) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of housemanship/internship and NYSC, with a valid, current MDCN registration and practising license.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-NYSC clinical experience, including demonstrated progression at medical officer levels.
- Progress toward a postgraduate dental fellowship (e.g., National Postgraduate Medical College or West African College of Surgeons) is an added advantage.
