The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu (FUAHSE) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Medical Officer to join our vibrant healthcare and academic community. As a Senior Medical Officer, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive medical care, supervising clinical staff, and contributing to the overall health and wellness of our university community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality curative, preventive, and emergency medical services to students, staff, and the university community.
- Supervise junior medical personnel, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure adherence to clinical best practices.
- Manage complex medical cases and coordinate specialist referrals when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records in line with professional standards.
- Participate in health education programs, medical outreaches, and university-led wellness initiatives.
- Collaborate with university management to implement health policies and maintain optimal sanitation and safety standards on campus.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB) from a recognized institution.
- Current practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Minimum of 6 to 8 years of post-qualification clinical experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory medical role.
- Postgraduate medical fellowship (e.g., FWACP, FMCGP) or relevant advanced certifications will be an added advantage.
