About the Role
MeCure Healthcare Limited (MHL) is a renowned leader in the medical diagnostic and healthcare sector across Nigeria and the West African sub-region, operating state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities in Lagos, Victoria Island, and Kano. We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Sonographer to join our dynamic clinical team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care and accurate diagnostic results.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician requests and established clinical protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures while ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity.
- Operate and maintain advanced ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Assess image quality and identify clinical abnormalities for review by the interpreting physician.
- Accurately document examination findings and maintain complete, confidential patient records.
- Ensure strict compliance with infection prevention, safety standards, and patient privacy regulations.
- Report equipment faults promptly and coordinate routine maintenance as required.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centered care at all times.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and engage in continuing professional development.
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Medical Imaging, or a related field.
- Valid professional license or registration to practice as a Sonographer in Nigeria.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
- Proficiency in performing general ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, and small-parts imaging.
- Strong technical knowledge of modern ultrasound equipment and advanced imaging techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation.
