About the Role
The Chartered Institute of Directors Nigeria (CIoD Nigeria), a premier professional body dedicated to promoting corporate governance and directors' development, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Senior Manager, Advocacy and Stakeholders Engagement. In this vital leadership role, you will champion our advocacy agenda, build high-level partnerships, and strengthen our institutional voice across Nigeria's public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive stakeholder engagement plans aligned with the Institute's strategic priorities.
- Build, manage, and sustain robust relationships with government institutions, regulators, policymakers, and industry leaders.
- Coordinate impactful advocacy initiatives, policy dialogues, and roundtables to advance corporate governance and national development.
- Monitor regulatory developments and lead the creation of high-quality policy briefs, position papers, and consultation submissions.
- Maintain an accurate stakeholder database and relationship management tracker to ensure coordinated institutional outreach.
- Represent CIoD Nigeria at high-profile conferences, meetings, and policy platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Law, Management, or a related discipline; a compulsory postgraduate degree is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in advocacy, public policy, government relations, or corporate affairs, with at least 3 years in a senior managerial capacity.
- Active membership in relevant professional bodies such as CIoD, NBA, NIM, or ICSAN is a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional relationship-management, networking, negotiation, and executive-level communication skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in policy analysis, stakeholder intelligence, and strategic partnership development.
