As a senior member of our faculty, you will play a pivotal role in shaping curriculum delivery, mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students, and driving impactful health sciences research.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures and practical training in Medical Laboratory Science courses at various academic levels.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and laboratory practicals.
- Design, update, and evaluate course curricula to align with current industry standards and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct cutting-edge research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and actively contribute to the academic reputation of the university.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties as assigned.
- Engage in community service initiatives and professional outreach programs relevant to medical laboratory science.
- Must possess a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of five (5) years of post-PhD teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have served as a Lecturer I for at least two (2) years prior to this application.
- A strong publication record of at least fourteen (14) scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Current license and active registration with the relevant professional regulatory body (e.g., MLSN).
