About the Role
Fountain University invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics for the position of Senior Lecturer in Software Engineering. As a key member of our Computer Science department, you will play a pivotal role in delivering world-class instruction, driving innovative research initiatives, and mentoring the next generation of software engineering professionals in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical lab sessions, and seminars in software engineering and related computing courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to academic advancements in the field of software engineering.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and university committees as assigned by management.
- Engage in community service and foster industry partnerships to enhance the practical application of university research.
- Must possess a PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of five (5) years of post-PhD academic teaching and research experience.
- Must have served as a Lecturer I for at least two (2) years prior to this application.
- A strong publication record with a minimum of fourteen (14) peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor students and secure research grants will be an added advantage.
