About the Role
Fountain University invites applications from suitably qualified and dedicated academics for the position of Senior Lecturer in Criminology. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training in undergraduate and postgraduate criminology courses.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Contribute significantly to curriculum development, course design, and departmental program evaluations.
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and pastoral guidance to students.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, as well as community engagement initiatives.
- Must hold a PhD in Criminology, Security Studies, or a closely related field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of five (5) years of post-PhD academic teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have served as a Lecturer I for at least two (2) years prior to this application.
- A strong publication record with a minimum of fourteen (14) credible academic publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated ability to attract research grants and collaborate on multidisciplinary academic projects.
