About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is seeking a dedicated and accomplished Senior Lecturer to join the Department of Veterinary Medicine. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate veterinary students.
- Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations at various academic levels.
- Conduct high-impact research in veterinary physiology and biochemistry and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic committee work.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to community engagement and institutional advancement initiatives.
- Must possess a PhD in Veterinary Physiology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of five (5) years of active teaching and research experience at the university level.
- Must have a minimum of eight (8) peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
- A first degree (BSc, DVM, or equivalent) not below a Second-Class Upper Division, OR a Second-Class Lower Division accompanied by a PhD.
