The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a prestigious federal university founded in 1970, is seeking a qualified and dynamic academic professional to fill the position of Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology within the Department of Veterinary Medicine. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement within the Department of Veterinary Medicine.
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and career guidance to students.
- Engage in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties, committees, and community service initiatives.
- Possession of a PhD in Veterinary Pharmacology, Toxicology, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
- A minimum of five (5) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have a strong publication record with a minimum of eight (8) peer-reviewed articles in reputable academic journals.
- A stellar academic foundation, including a First Degree not below Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division with a PhD.
