About the Role
Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics for the position of Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Microbiology within our esteemed Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Established in 2011, our institution is dedicated to academic excellence, innovative research, and expanding access to high-quality higher education in Nigeria. As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional instruction, conducting impactful research, and mentoring the next generation of veterinary professionals in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and practical instruction in Veterinary Microbiology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects and postgraduate student theses.
- Conduct high-quality, continuous research leading to publications in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement within the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and community service initiatives.
- Must hold a Ph.D. degree in Veterinary Microbiology or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Possess a minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Demonstrate a strong publication record with a minimum of ten (10) articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Provide verifiable evidence of ongoing research activities and the capability to successfully supervise postgraduate students.
