Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in the Department of Mechanical Engineering by designing and delivering high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.
- Conduct cutting-edge research, publish extensively in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, and secure external research grants.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Participate actively in departmental, college, and university-wide administrative duties, committees, and community engagement initiatives.
- Foster strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders to enhance practical learning, internships, and collaborative technological advancements.
- Mentor junior faculty members and contribute positively to the overall professional development of the academic community.
- Possess a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Currently hold the rank of Reader or Professor with a proven track record of significant academic teaching and research experience.
- Demonstrate a robust portfolio of local and international publications in reputable academic journals.
- Evidence of administrative capacity, academic leadership, and successful grant management.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies such as COREN and NSE is mandatory.
