About the Role
Federal University Lafia, a fast-growing institution established in 2011 with a strong mandate for academic excellence, is seeking a qualified and dynamic Senior Lecturer to join its esteemed Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials in Veterinary Anatomy to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Conduct high-impact, continuous research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic committee duties.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to community development initiatives aligned with the university mission.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Veterinary Anatomy or a directly relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution.
- A minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- A strong publication record comprising at least ten (10) articles in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Demonstrated capability to successfully supervise postgraduate students and attract research grants.
