About the Role
The Royal College of Nursing Sciences, Ezzangbo (RCONSE) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Lecturer in Igbo Language to join our esteemed academic community in Ebonyi State, Nigeria. In this vital role, you will contribute to the holistic development of our nursing students by fostering an appreciation for indigenous language, culture, and effective communication, ensuring they are well-rounded healthcare professionals ready to serve diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and tutorials in Igbo Language to undergraduate nursing science students.
- Develop and update course outlines, lecture notes, and instructional materials in accordance with accredited academic standards.
- Assess student performance through continuous evaluations, quizzes, assignments, and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
- Mentor and advise students on academic progression, personal development, and professional ethics.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum development committees, and academic events organized by the college.
- Conduct relevant academic research and contribute to scholarly publications within the field of African languages and linguistics.
- Must possess a Master’s degree in Igbo Language from a recognized and accredited university.
- Must possess a mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate or exemption letter.
- Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate students with clear communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in modern educational technology and learning management systems is an added advantage.
