About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Software Engineering and related computing subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, theses, and dissertations.
  • Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and actively contribute to the academic reputation of the department.
  • Participate in curriculum development, review, and enhancement to align with global industry standards and NUC guidelines.
  • Engage in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties, committees, and community service initiatives.
  • Mentor junior academic staff and foster a collaborative, innovative learning environment.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related computing discipline from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of active teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
  • Must have a minimum of eight (8) quality peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
  • Must possess a First Degree with not below a Second-Class Upper Division; or a Second-Class Lower Division with a PhD.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract research grants and collaborate on industry-relevant tech projects is an added advantage.
