Located in Benin City, Edo State, our Faculty of Computing invites suitably qualified, dynamic, and experienced academics to apply for the position of Senior Lecturer in Software Engineering. As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of tech leaders by delivering exceptional instruction, driving innovative research, and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students in a faith-based learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical laboratory sessions, and seminars in Software Engineering and related computing disciplines at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable national and international academic journals.
- Provide academic leadership in curriculum development, course design, and departmental accreditation processes.
- Contribute to departmental and faculty administrative duties, student mentoring, and community engagement initiatives.
- Must possess a PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of five (5) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- A robust portfolio of peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
- Demonstrated capacity for postgraduate teaching, supervision, and academic leadership.
- Proficiency in ICT-driven teaching methods with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
