We are currently recruiting a Senior Lecturer in Public Relations within the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at our campus in Benin City, Edo State. In this role, you will help shape the next generation of strategic communicators by delivering world-class instruction, driving innovative research, and fostering an environment of intellectual growth and high moral standards.
Key Responsibilities- Design, update, and deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate curricula in Public Relations and related communication disciplines.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable national and international academic journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Provide visionary academic leadership through participation in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees.
- Mentor students academically and morally in alignment with the Christian ethos and vision of Wellspring University.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives that promote the university's reputation.
- Must possess a PhD in Public Relations, Mass Communication, or a closely related relevant discipline.
- A minimum of five (5) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- A strong, verifiable record of peer-reviewed academic publications in recognized journals.
- Proven capacity and experience in postgraduate teaching, mentorship, and thesis supervision.
- Demonstrated evidence of academic leadership, excellent communication skills, and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in ICT-driven teaching methods and modern educational technology.
- Current professional registration and valid practicing licenses where applicable.
