Federal University Lafia is inviting suitably qualified academics to apply for the position of Senior Lecturer in Procurement Management within our esteemed Faculty of Management Sciences. Located in the capital of Nasarawa State, our institution is dedicated to advancing academic excellence, impactful research, and community development in Nigeria. As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of supply chain and procurement professionals through rigorous teaching, mentorship, and cutting-edge research.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and coursework in Procurement Management to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research theses and dissertations.
- Conduct high-level academic research and publish findings in reputable, peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement within the Faculty of Management Sciences.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committees.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to the overall academic growth of the department.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Procurement Management, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related relevant field from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- A robust publication record featuring at least ten (10) papers in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of continuous research productivity and the capacity to successfully supervise postgraduate students.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills suited for an academic environment.
