About the Role
Maduka University, a distinguished private institution committed to academic excellence and societal impact, is seeking a qualified and dynamic professional to join our esteemed Faculty of Pharmacy as a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology and Toxicology. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering a transformative educational experience, shaping future pharmacists, and contributing to cutting-edge research within a rapidly evolving global landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Pharmacology and Toxicology to undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy students.
- Develop, update, and review curricula and course materials in alignment with National Universities Commission (NUC) and Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) standards.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, student industrial training, and postgraduate theses.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and actively seek research grants.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, contributing to the holistic administration and growth of the institution.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students to foster their personal and professional development.
- Possession of a Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Toxicology, or a closely related pharmaceutical science discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Must hold a professional registrable pharmacy degree (B.Pharm / Pharm.D) with a valid license to practice from the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) where applicable.
- Demonstrated progressive academic experience as a Lecturer I or Senior Lecturer in a recognized tertiary institution.
- A strong track record of peer-reviewed publications in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Exceptional teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire students.
