About the Role
Holy Child Preparatory School is a well-regarded private basic education institution located at 3c Chaka Cres, Independence Layout, Enugu, Nigeria. Founded by a university English lecturer with over two decades of experience, our school was explicitly established to bridge critical gaps in primary school literacy and language proficiency in South Eastern Nigeria. We are currently seeking passionate, qualified, and dynamic Classroom Teachers for our Nursery pupils to help shape the minds of our young learners and build a strong educational foundation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans tailored to nursery pupils.
- Foster a nurturing, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages early childhood development.
- Focus on building strong foundational literacy, numeracy, and language proficiency skills in line with the school's core mission.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to parents and guardians regularly.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively and promote positive social interactions among young children.
- Participate in school-wide staff meetings, professional development workshops, and extracurricular activities.
- Possess relevant academic qualifications in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Proven teaching experience within a nursery or early childhood educational setting.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with a strong commitment to literacy development.
