About the Role
Assist to Hire Limited is seeking a passionate and dedicated English and Mathematics Teacher to provide engaging, high-quality learning support to primary school pupils along the Lekki and Ikoyi corridor in Lagos, Nigeria. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, standard-compliant lessons in English Language (Phonics, Reading, Comprehension, Grammar, and Creative Writing) and Mathematics (Numeracy, Problem Solving, and Logic).
- Design custom learning plans adapted to each child’s learning pace, strengths, and areas needing improvement.
- Prepare simple, age-appropriate lesson plans and learning materials while adapting teaching methods to individual needs.
- Administer classwork, assignments, tests, and assessments to monitor pupils’ academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a positive, structured, and encouraging learning environment that promotes discipline and active participation.
- Communicate relevant academic observations and progress updates to parents and school management when required.
- Minimum of an NCE, B.Ed., or Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 to 3 years of proven experience teaching or tutoring children in Primary 1 through Primary 6.
- Strong command of primary-level English grammar, phonics, and foundational Mathematics.
- Must reside within or have easy commute access to the Lekki/Ikoyi corridor in Lagos.
- Exceptional patience, strong communication skills, punctuality, and a genuine passion for early childhood development.
- Competitive daily remuneration of NGN 15,000 per day.
- Flexible part-time schedule of 3 to 4 working days per week, operating from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM including occasional weekends.
