About the Role
The Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics for the position of Senior Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology within our prestigious Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science. As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of pharmacists and researchers in a vibrant, fast-growing academic community located in Nasarawa State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects and postgraduate student theses.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic program enhancement within the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Mentor junior academic staff and foster a culture of academic rigor and integrity.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution.
- A minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Evidence of a minimum of ten (10) scholarly publications in reputable local and international journals.
- Demonstrated continuous engagement in active research and a proven track record of successful postgraduate student supervision.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills suited for an academic environment.
