Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Petroleum Information Management and related courses.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-quality, impactful research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and university committee assignments.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to community engagement initiatives.
Candidates applying for this position must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a Ph.D. degree in Petroleum Information Management or a relevant cognate field from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrate a minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a university or comparable institution.
- Have a proven track record of at least ten (10) publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Provide clear evidence of continuous academic research and the capability to successfully supervise postgraduate students.
The conditions of service, including salary, allowances, and fringe benefits, are as obtainable in Nigerian Federal Universities and as approved by the Federal University Lafia Governing Council.
