Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical clinical training in Paedodontics to undergraduate and postgraduate dental students.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, master's theses, and doctoral dissertations.
  • Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research in pediatric dentistry and contribute to the academic reputation of the university.
  • Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university committee assignments.
  • Provide specialized clinical dental care and supervision of patients at the university teaching hospital.
  • Mentor junior academic staff and participate in community outreach dental programs.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a PhD in Paedodontics or a closely related dental science discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of active teaching and research experience in a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Must possess a First Degree in Dentistry not below a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division with a PhD.
  • A strong publication record with a minimum of 8 peer-reviewed articles in reputable national and international journals.
  • Valid registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with current practicing license.
  • Demonstrated ability in academic leadership, grant writing, and clinical student mentorship.
