Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training in music theory, history, and performance to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects, including theses and dissertations.
  • Conduct high-quality research and publish peer-reviewed articles in reputable national and international academic journals.
  • Contribute to departmental curriculum enhancement, academic program development, and quality assurance processes.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, community engagement initiatives, and academic mentoring.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a PhD in Music or a closely related field from a recognized and accredited institution.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of active teaching and research experience at the university level.
  • Must possess a minimum of eight (8) peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
  • A first degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a PhD.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor students and collaborate effectively with academic colleagues.
