The University of Benin (UNIBEN) invites applications from suitably qualified, passionate, and academically driven professionals for the position of Lecturer II in the Department of Forest Resources and Wildlife Management, Faculty of Agriculture. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory or field sessions in Forest Resources and Wildlife Management.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic field training.
- Conduct high-quality, impactful academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Engage in community outreach programs related to environmental sustainability, forestry, and wildlife conservation.
- Maintain accurate academic records and provide comprehensive student assessment and mentoring.
- Possession of a PhD or a Master's degree in Forest Resources, Wildlife Management, or a closely related field, complemented by at least three (3) years of tertiary teaching experience.
- A minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed journal publications in recognized academic outlets.
- A mandatory First Degree (Bachelor's) classified not below Second-Class Upper Division; candidates with a Second-Class Lower Division must hold a relevant PhD.
- Demonstrated proficiency in modern teaching methodologies and digital learning tools.
