Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Microbiology.
  • Design, update, and develop innovative curriculum content in alignment with NUC benchmarks and modern industry trends.
  • Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
  • Provide effective academic advising, mentoring, and career guidance to students.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects and postgraduate theses.
  • Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, accreditation exercises, and community engagement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Possess a Ph.D. degree in Microbiology or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
  • Show evidence of continuous academic publication in reputable scholarly journals.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a faith-based academic environment.
