Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Microbiology.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
  • Conduct cutting-edge research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
  • Design, update, and evaluate curriculum content to meet contemporary industry and academic standards.
  • Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
  • Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees and administrative duties.
  • Secure research grants and foster academic partnerships with industry stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a PhD in Microbiology or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Demonstrated record of academic publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
  • Minimum of years of teaching and research experience at the university level, commensurate with a senior lectureship.
  • Strong evidence of successful student project supervision and academic mentorship.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Membership in relevant professional microbiology bodies is an added advantage.
