Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Microbiology.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct cutting-edge research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Design, update, and evaluate curriculum content to meet contemporary industry and academic standards.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees and administrative duties.
- Secure research grants and foster academic partnerships with industry stakeholders.
- Must hold a PhD in Microbiology or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Demonstrated record of academic publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
- Minimum of years of teaching and research experience at the university level, commensurate with a senior lectureship.
- Strong evidence of successful student project supervision and academic mentorship.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Membership in relevant professional microbiology bodies is an added advantage.
