We are currently looking for a dynamic and dedicated Senior Lecturer to join our Department of Intelligence and Security Studies within the Faculty of Social and Management Science in Benin City, Edo State. In this academic leadership role, you will shape the next generation of security professionals through rigorous teaching, groundbreaking research, and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Intelligence and Security Studies.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, including theses and dissertations.
- Conduct high-quality, impactful research and publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development, department administration, and academic program evaluations.
- Mentor students and provide academic advising while upholding the Christian ethics and values of the university.
- Participate in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and university-wide community service initiatives.
- Possess a PhD in Intelligence and Security Studies or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- Demonstrated strong record of peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
- Proven capacity for postgraduate teaching, student supervision, and academic leadership.
- High level of ICT proficiency and modern digital pedagogical skills.
