We are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified and dedicated academics to fill the position of Lecturer II in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing within our esteemed Faculty of Nursing Science.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing to undergraduate students.
- Develop and update course curricula, teaching materials, and assessment tools in line with NUC and nursing council standards.
- Supervise student research projects, clinical rotations, and academic progress.
- Conduct high-quality research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and academic events.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students to foster both intellectual and moral growth.
- Possession of a PhD Degree in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- At least two (2) years of cognate university teaching or research experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of scholarly potential, continuing research, and relevant academic publications.
- Current professional registration and a valid practising licence with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for modern e-learning and research.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, teaching, and research skills.
