The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is seeking a dynamic and experienced academic professional to join our prestigious institution as a Senior Lecturer in Insurance within the Department of Management Science. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical tutorials for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Insurance and related management disciplines.
- Develop, update, and review curriculum content to align with current industry standards and global academic best practices.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, supporting their holistic professional development.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, administrative duties, and community service initiatives.
- Possession of a PhD in Insurance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, or a closely related field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Must possess a first degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division with a PhD.
- A minimum of five (5) years of active teaching and research experience at the university level.
- Must have a minimum of eight (8) quality peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic outlets.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor students and secure research grants or academic partnerships is an added advantage.
