The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a prestigious federal university founded in 1970, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Lecturer in Information Technology to join our esteemed Department of Computing. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and practical training for undergraduate and postgraduate Information Technology students.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate research theses, projects, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish peer-reviewed articles in reputable national and international journals.
- Design, evaluate, and update curriculum content to align with evolving global tech and industry standards.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students to foster holistic professional development.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committee work.
- Must possess a PhD in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of active teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have a minimum of 8 quality peer-reviewed publications in recognized academic journals.
- Basic qualification requires a First Degree with not below a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a PhD.
- Demonstrated ability to attract research grants and collaborate on technological innovations is an added advantage.
