The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a prestigious federal institution founded in 1970, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Lecturer in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to join our esteemed Department of Computing. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and rigorous lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Information and Communication Technology and related computing subjects.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Contribute significantly to curriculum development, course design, and the continuous enhancement of the academic program.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, contributing to the administrative growth of the institution.
- Engage in community service and forge academic or industry partnerships that elevate the profile of the Department of Computing.
- Possession of a PhD in Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of five (5) years of active teaching and research experience at the university level.
- An impressive academic portfolio featuring at least eight (8) quality peer-reviewed publications in recognized outlets.
- A strong foundational academic record including a first degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a PhD.
