About the Role
Candlelight Foundation for Children with Special Needs is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on empowering children diagnosed with Autism, Dyslexia, and ADHD. We strive to create inclusive environments where every child receives the support and resources needed to thrive. We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Swimming Instructor to join our team in Nigeria, helping our wonderful children build confidence, develop water safety skills, and experience the therapeutic benefits of swimming.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver tailored swimming lessons focused on therapy, recreation, and skill development for children with special needs.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and supportive aquatic environment for all participants at all times.
- Monitor student progress, adapting teaching techniques to accommodate individual learning paces and specific needs.
- Collaborate with support staff and parents to achieve developmental and therapeutic goals.
- Maintain and inspect swimming equipment and ensure adherence to strict safety protocols.
- Proven experience working directly with children with special needs, particularly autism.
- Valid Certified Swimming Instructor credential.
- Current Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications.
- Exceptional patience, creativity, empathy, and a genuine passion for child development.
- Ability to provide a comprehensive CV, a valid government-issued ID, and two verifiable professional referees for background checks.
