About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished Senior Lecturer in Histopathology and Cytology to join the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science at our campus in Benin City, Edo State. In this pivotal academic role, you will shape the future of healthcare professionals by delivering cutting-edge instruction, mentoring postgraduate students, and driving impactful research that contributes to national and global development.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Histopathology and Cytology within the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects and postgraduate student theses.
- Conduct cutting-edge academic research and publish findings in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
- Provide robust academic leadership, curriculum development, and mentorship to junior faculty members and students.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university committees, contributing to institutional growth and accreditation processes.
- Engage in community service and uphold the Christian values and ethical standards of Wellspring University.
- Possess a PhD in Histopathology, Cytology, or a closely relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- Demonstrated strong record of peer-reviewed academic publications in reputable journals.
- Proven capacity for postgraduate teaching, student supervision, and academic leadership.
- Proficiency in ICT-driven teaching methods and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current professional registration and a valid practising licence from relevant regulatory bodies.
