About the Role

As a Lecturer II in Medicine and Surgery, you will play a vital role in delivering world-class education, mentoring students, and contributing to impactful medical research within a serene and conducive academic environment in Benin City, Edo State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory or clinical sessions to undergraduate medical students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional resources in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, clinical rotations, and student dissertations.
- Conduct cutting-edge research, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic reputation of the university.
- Participate in department, college, and university committee meetings, as well as student mentoring and academic advising.
- Collaborate with colleagues on academic and clinical initiatives that promote the vision and values of Wellspring University.
- Must possess a PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Medicine and Surgery or a closely related relevant medical discipline.
- At least two (2) years of cognate university teaching or research experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of scholarly potential, continuing research, and relevant academic publications in reputable journals.
- Must hold recognized academic and professional qualifications with current professional registration and a valid practicing license.
