We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished Senior Lecturer to join the Department of Surgery within our esteemed Faculty of Clinical Sciences. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering world-class medical education, conducting impactful research, and mentoring the next generation of medical professionals across our modern facilities in Delta State and Abuja.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures and practical training in surgery to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- Supervise student research projects, clinical rotations, and academic progress with a strong focus on mentorship.
- Conduct cutting-edge research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Participate actively in departmental administration, curriculum development, and faculty meetings.
- Provide expert clinical services and maintain active involvement in professional healthcare practices aligned with university standards.
- Possession of an MBBS or BDS as a first degree from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Relevant postgraduate medical or academic qualifications appropriate for the Senior Lecturer rank.
- Demonstrated teaching, research, clinical, and scholarly experience commensurate with the position.
- Proven track record of academic publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Current registration with the relevant professional regulatory body alongside a valid, up-to-date practising licence.
- All academic and professional qualifications must be verifiable and from recognized institutions.
