About the Role
Vision University, a dynamic and fast-rising private, faith-based institution located in Ikogbo Town, Ogun State, Nigeria, is seeking a qualified and visionary Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security to join our esteemed faculty. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2023 and mentored by Lagos State University (LASU), we are dedicated to academic rigor, moral integrity, and producing industry-ready graduates. We are looking for an experienced academic leader who is passionate about teaching, innovative research, and shaping the next generation of cybersecurity professionals in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Cyber Security and related computing disciplines.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Design, update, and evaluate curricula to align with NUC guidelines and current industry cybersecurity standards.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and actively pursue academic grants.
- Provide mentorship and academic advising to students, fostering both professional and personal development.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, as well as community service initiatives.
- Must possess a Ph.D. in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 6 years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- A strong track record of scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor students and secure research grants is highly desirable.
- Evidence of active membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., CPN, NCS, IEEE) will be an added advantage.
