About the Role
Wellspring University, a prestigious institution founded on Christian principles and committed to national development through science and technology, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security. Based in Benin City, Edo State, our Faculty of Computing is dedicated to molding globally competitive professionals with strong intellectual and moral foundations. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Cyber Security and related Computing courses.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct impactful, peer-reviewed research and contribute to the academic advancement of the Faculty of Computing.
- Provide robust academic leadership, mentoring junior faculty members and assisting in curriculum development.
- Participate in departmental and university-wide committees, community service, and professional accreditation processes.
- Must possess a PhD in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related relevant discipline.
- A minimum of five (5) years of cognate university teaching and research experience.
- A strong, demonstrable record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Proven capacity for postgraduate teaching, student supervision, and academic leadership.
- Proficiency in ICT, exceptional communication skills, and current professional registration or valid practicing licence where applicable.
