The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a premier federal university founded in 1970, is seeking a dedicated and accomplished Senior Lecturer in Computer Engineering to join our esteemed Department of Engineering. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Computer Engineering.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development, departmental administration, and faculty committee meetings.
- Mentor junior academic staff and participate in community service and institutional advancement initiatives.
- Secure research grants and foster industry partnerships to enhance the department's profile.
- A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of five (5) years of active teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- A strong publication record with a minimum of eight (8) peer-reviewed articles in reputable journals.
- A First Degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division accompanied by a PhD.
- Demonstrated ability to teach core engineering courses and supervise student research effectively.
