Brilliant Performance Solutions Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Lecturer in Computer Science or Computer Engineering to join our esteemed client's academic institution. Key Responsibilities- Teach introductory computer technology and data management applications to underclassmen as part of the general education core curriculum.
- Deliver advanced computer science courses to students pursuing diplomas in information technology fields.
- Instruct, guide, and mentor undergraduate computer science majors throughout their academic programs.
- Assist in managing and maintaining the main computer lab, ensuring accessibility during day and evening hours via rotating shifts.
- Collaborate with faculty and external personnel on research opportunities and departmental funding requests.
- Develop, publish, and share comprehensive departmental curricula with other academic institutions.
- Partner with the department chair and admissions team to schedule classes for each academic semester.
- Maintain regular office hours, plan engaging lessons, and foster a stimulating classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress, set appropriate coursework, maintain high standards of discipline, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- A Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is strictly required.
- Prior lecturing or teaching experience in a tertiary institution is a strong advantage.
- Must reside in Lagos, preferably close to Ogba, Berger, or surrounding areas.
- Strong communication skills with a high standard of English proficiency.
