About the Role
Federal University Lafia invites dynamic and accomplished academic leaders to apply for the position of Associate Professor in Forestry and Wildlife Management within our esteemed Faculty of Agriculture. Established in 2011, our institution is committed to academic excellence, innovative research, and expanding access to quality higher education in Nigeria. We are seeking a dedicated scholar who can contribute significantly to our teaching, research, and community engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Forestry and Wildlife Management.
- Conduct high-impact, cutting-edge research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, as well as Master's and Ph.D. dissertations.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic mentoring for junior faculty and students.
- Contribute to community service initiatives and foster partnerships with relevant agricultural and environmental agencies.
- Must currently hold the rank of Associate Professor or equivalent in a recognized university.
- Possess a Ph.D. in Forestry, Wildlife Management, or a closely related relevant field.
- Demonstrate a strong track record of outstanding teaching experience and academic leadership in a higher education institution.
- Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) publications in reputable international and national peer-reviewed journals.
- Proven record of successfully supervising postgraduate students at both the Master's and Ph.D. levels.
