About the Role
Brilliant Performance Solutions Limited is seeking a dedicated and qualified Senior Lecturer in Computer Science or Computer Engineering on behalf of our client. This role is ideal for an experienced academic professional looking to shape the minds of future tech leaders within a dynamic higher education environment based in Lagos, Nigeria, with a preference for candidates residing near Ogba or Berger.
Key Responsibilities- Teach introductory computer technology, data management, and advanced computer science courses to undergraduate and diploma students.
- Mentor applied technology and computer science majors, providing academic guidance and career support.
- Assist in managing and maintaining the institution's main computer lab through rotating shifts.
- Collaborate with faculty and external personnel to identify research opportunities and secure departmental funding.
- Develop, publish, and share innovative academic curricula with other institutions.
- Partner with the department chair and admissions team to coordinate semester class schedules.
- Plan structured lessons, maintain regular office hours, and foster a stimulating, positive learning environment.
- Assess, record, and monitor student progress while providing constructive feedback and maintaining high behavioral and academic standards.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Prior lecturing or teaching experience in a recognized academic institution is a strong advantage.
- Must reside in Lagos, preferably close to Ogba, Berger, or surrounding areas.
