About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a prestigious federal university founded in 1970, is seeking a dedicated and accomplished Senior Lecturer in Biochemistry to join our esteemed Department of Life Science. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Biochemistry and related Life Science disciplines.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and actively secure research grants for the department.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental quality assurance processes.
- Participate in academic administration, committee work, and university service as assigned.
- Possession of a PhD in Biochemistry or a closely related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of active teaching and research experience at the university level.
- A strong publication record with a minimum of eight (8) peer-reviewed journal articles in reputable outlets.
- First degree with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division accompanied by a PhD.
