Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics to fill the position of Senior Lecturer in the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Environmental Design. Established in 2011, our institution is committed to expanding access to quality university education and fostering groundbreaking research in Nigeria. As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of future architects, advancing our academic profile, and contributing to the vibrant intellectual community in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical studio sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Architecture.
- Supervise undergraduate dissertations, master's theses, and Ph.D. dissertations.
- Conduct high-level academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in curriculum review, departmental administration, and university committee assignments.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to community development initiatives.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Architecture or a closely related relevant field from a recognized university.
- A minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have a minimum of ten (10) publications in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of continuous research output and active participation in academic conferences.
- Proven capability to successfully supervise postgraduate students and attract research grants.
