About the Role

We are currently expanding our academic team and looking for a passionate Senior Lecturer in Advertising to inspire the next generation of media and communication professionals within our Faculty of Social and Management Sciences in Benin City, Edo State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Advertising and related communication disciplines.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, including theses and dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
- Provide academic leadership by contributing to curriculum development, department reviews, and mentorship.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, as well as community development initiatives.
- Leverage modern ICT tools and innovative pedagogical methods to enhance the student learning experience.
- Must possess a PhD in Advertising or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of five (5) years of cognate university teaching and research experience.
- A strong, verifiable record of peer-reviewed academic publications in reputable journals.
- Proven capacity for postgraduate teaching, student supervision, and academic mentorship.
- Demonstrated evidence of academic leadership, administrative capability, and service to the university community.
- Proficiency in ICT-driven teaching and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
