We are looking for a visionary educator who can elevate our Department of Accounting within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Management through rigorous teaching, mentorship, and high-impact scholarly research.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in financial accounting, auditing, taxation, and related financial management courses.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct cutting-edge research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement to meet contemporary industry standards.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Mentor students and provide academic advising to foster professional and personal growth.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives on behalf of the university.
- Hold a PhD in Accounting or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of 2 years of continuous academic experience as a Lecturer I.
- A strong publication record comprising at least 15 peer-reviewed journal publications in reputable outlets, with a mandatory minimum of 3 publications indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
- Demonstrated ICT proficiency with the ability to utilize modern e-learning management systems and digital teaching tools.
- Active membership in relevant professional accounting bodies such as ICAN, ANAN, or international equivalents.
- Possession of a mandatory NYSC discharge certificate or valid exemption certificate.
