Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in financial accounting, auditing, taxation, and related financial management courses.
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
  • Conduct cutting-edge research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement to meet contemporary industry standards.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
  • Mentor students and provide academic advising to foster professional and personal growth.
  • Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives on behalf of the university.
Qualifications
  • Hold a PhD in Accounting or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Minimum of 2 years of continuous academic experience as a Lecturer I.
  • A strong publication record comprising at least 15 peer-reviewed journal publications in reputable outlets, with a mandatory minimum of 3 publications indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
  • Demonstrated ICT proficiency with the ability to utilize modern e-learning management systems and digital teaching tools.
  • Active membership in relevant professional accounting bodies such as ICAN, ANAN, or international equivalents.
  • Possession of a mandatory NYSC discharge certificate or valid exemption certificate.
